On 10.10.2022 ORGANIZATION FOR COOPERATION AND DEFENSE OF CITIZENS – OCDC became a full member of the International Maritime Rescue Federation – IMRF.
The International Maritime Rescue Federation (IMRF) is the international non-governmental organization (NGO) working to develop and improve maritime search and rescue (SAR) capacity around the world.
The IMRF brings together the world’s maritime SAR organizations and has both voluntary and governmental organizations as members. As well as capacity building, the IMRF also has an advocacy role, providing an international voice for its members.
It is the only maritime SAR NGO with consultative status at the United Nations’ International Maritime Organization (IMO).
The membership of the OCDC allows the active participation of the IMRF in all organized events, such as conferences, exercises and meetings at the international level, which helps the rapid and proper development of the organization, through the exchange of experience between all members of the IMRF, as well as training of the members of the OCDC in search and rescue operations.
